VELUX VSE Electric Skylight Sizes
Before choosing a VELUX skylight, we recommend that you measure the spacing between your roof trusses. VELUX VSE Electric Skylight are available in a range of sizes that are designed to fit within typical roof truss spacings. Once you know your truss spacings, select a VELUX Skylight with a width less than it. Truss modifications are possible but this increases the installation cost.
The sizes above are the overall frame dimensions in mm (width x height).
- The “C0x” range fit within 600mm truss spacings.
- The “M0x” range fit within 900mm truss spacings.
- The “S0x” range fit within 1200mm truss spacings.

Choose from the VELUX Solar Powered Honeycomb Blind (FSCH) or VELUX Solar Powered Blockout Blind (DSH).
VELUX VSE Electric Skylight Flashings
For tile roofs, we recommend the standard VELUX EDW Flashing Kit. This is what we use when installing a VELUX VSE Electric Skylight ourselves.
For corrugated metal roofs, we recommend a custom flashing be used. Flashings can be made to match to your roof colour providing a seamless integration. The VELUX EDW Flashing Kit can be used on corrugated profiles however, we believe a custom flashing gives a superior finish and better water proofing.
For metal deck roofs (Klip-lok®, Trimdek®, Spandek®), a custom flashing is required.
Supreme Skylights manufactures custom VELUX VSE Electric Skylight flashings. These are available in all ColorBond® colours and made to order. Contact us for a quote.

VELUX VSE Electric Skylight Installation
The VELUX VSE Electric Skylight is part of the pitched roof range and can be installed on a roof with a pitch of 15° to 90°. Roofs with a lower pitch where a VELUX VSE Electric Skylight is preferred, a custom pitched flashing will be required.

The installation of a VELUX Skylight, while simple in theory, can be far more complicated in practice. Obstructions such as electrical cables, water & gas pipes, and AC ducting can prevent ideal placement. Multiple tradespeople (builder, roof plumber, plasterer & painter) are required if you want a complete installation. For these reasons, we recommend you have your VELUX Skylight installed by an experienced skylight installer. Don’t risk damaging your home and voiding your insurance with dodgy installation.
Supreme Skylights provides complete installation of VELUX VSE Electric Skylight in regional Victoria and southern NSW. We’re an accredited VELUX dealer and installer. We’ve also been manufacturing and installing our own skylights for over 35 years. Our installation services include a 10 year installation warranty.
