How to Order

To order your new custom sized skylight diffuser;

1. Measure the diameter of your existing skylight diffuser.
2. Enter the value on this page, in centimeters. Hint: 1 meter = 100 centimetres = 1,000 millimetres.
   Example: 495mm = 49.5cm
3. Choose the type you want; Prismatic or Opal.

Custom Size Skylight Diffuser

Please ensure you order the correct size diffuser by measuring the diameter of the diffuser itself, not the ceiling surround or shaft opening.

WARNING: we do not accept returns for custom sized skylight diffusers as these are made to order and cannot be reused – double check your measurements before ordering!

Prismatic or Opal

The prismatic diffuser (a collection of prisms) disperses the light passing through, scattering it over a larger area. Made from 3mm acrylic sheet with 5mm square prisms, it will typically perform well for 20 years. Additionally, the diffuser softens the lights, reducing glare and decreasing eye strain.

The opal diffuser has an opaque finish that softens the light and has a sleek, modern look. Made from 3mm cast acrylic sheet, it is UV stabilised, weighs half as much as glass and up to 10 times more impact resistant. Providing only slightly less light dispersal than prismatic (about 5% less), it is the more stylish choice.

Shipping & Delivery

The replacement diffuser will be cut to your custom size within 5 working days and flat packed using thick cardboard to protect it during transport.

Please allow 7 days for delivery from the date of shipping. It may be longer to remote areas or during busy period e.g. holidays.

Installation

1. To install your new skylight diffuser, remove the existing skylight diffuser by carefully pushing the sheet upwards so you can grasp it. Gently bow the diffuser in the middle and guide it through the opening.
   NOTE: we recommend wearing gloves to protect your hands from the sharp edges and setting up a ladder to make it easier to access.
2. Wipe the new diffuser with a damp, lint-free cloth to remove any dust.
3. Install the new skylight diffuser by bending two edges so it bows in the middle and guiding it through the ceiling surround then lowering it into place.
