Domed Skylight Diffuser Replacement

Buy a domed skylight diffuser replacement to fix a damaged round skylight and make it look brand new again. Available in three sizes: 300 mm, 400 mm & 500 mm. This kit includes a ceiling ring / ceiling surround and domed skylight diffuser.

The white, powder-coated, metal ceiling ring comes with plaster clips pre-fitted for easy installation. The skylight diffuser is a round, dome shaped acrylic with an opal finish. The mounting clips allow for the diffuser to open for ventilation or close to keep in heat.

Note: The diffuser and ceiling ring are supplied together and cannot be sold separately.

Replacing a Broken Round Skylight Ceiling Surround & Diffuser

This domed skylight diffuser kit can be used to replace a broken round skylight ceiling surround from other manufacturers (e.g. Solatube). This can be done yourself or by a handyman. Follow the steps below. Please note: we DO NOT guarantee that this will work for your situation, please double check before ordering.

1. Measure the diameter of the existing skylight shaft opening in the plaster (not the ceiling surround or diffuser).
2. Order a replacement of the same size from this page.
   NOTE: This will NOT work if the shaft diameter isn’t 300, 400 or 500 mm.
3. After your replacement domed skylight diffuser arrives, remove the existing ceiling surround by disconnecting the flexible shaft and removing the surround. / ceiling ring.
4. Install the new ceiling ring / ceiling surround into the opening, ensuring the plaster clips are firmly in place. Trim the plaster if the opening is too small.
5. Reconnect the flexible shaft to the ceiling surround. Aluminium tape can be used for joining if required.
6. Fit the skylight diffuser to the surround. Leave the diffuser in the open position for ventilation or in the closed position to prevent heat loss.
